I'll stamp all over 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.

Ex two-time world boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
